Video from traffic cameras shows an officer chasing a suspect in a stolen vehicle on southbound U.S. Highway 75 on Monday morning.
PLANO, Texas - Plano police were briefly involved in a high-speed chase on southbound U.S. Highway 75 on Monday morning.
What we know:
According to the Plano Police Department, the chase happened around 10 a.m. and involved a suspect in a stolen white SUV.
There were reports of the SUV reaching speeds of up to 105 miles per hour while driving south between Plano and Richardson.
However, a supervisor called the chase off in Richardson because of the dangerous speeds and because the suspect clipped the mirror off another vehicle.
No one was hurt, but the suspect got away.
What we don't know:
It’s not clear when or where the suspect’s vehicle was stolen.
Police also haven’t said if they know the identity of the suspect.
