Pearl Harbor attacked 74 years ago today

There are few living survivors of one of the most infamous days in American history – the attack on Pearl Harbor.

It happened 74 years ago in 1941. Two thousand American died in the surprise attack by Japanese forces.

Today in Hawaii, those who died will be remembered at the Navy base.

Ceremonies and parades will be held in other parts of the nation to mark the grim day that plunged the United States into World War 2.
