Officers rescue little dog from busy freeway

A little dog rescued on a Fort Worth freeway last week has a new home.

Two officers stopped traffic on Interstate 30 at Beach Street to catch the dog that was running in and out of traffic.

They used dog treats to get him off the road.

"We heard the honking and the clapping and the cheering. It made us feel good, especially with what's been going on in the past with hostility towards officers. It made us feel good," said Officer Paul Garcia.

"I know that the 1600 officers that are on the Fort Worth Police Department, each and every one of them would have done the same thing," added Officer Allen Speed.

The officers nicknamed the dog Beach, because of where they found him.

Beach has since been adopted.
