New Lakewood Brewing Co. beer benefits families of fallen officers
Lakewood Brewing Co. debuts a new beer Friday that will benefit families of fallen first responders.
Proceeds from the sale of each can of All Call Kolsch will go to the Guns & Hoses Benevolent fund. The North Texas charity was created in 2002 with a mission of helping the families of policeman and firefighters who lose their lives in the line of duty.
The beer officially goes in sale at various North Texas retailers next week. But people attending the Big Texas Beer Fest at Fair Park in Dallas will be the first to try out the Lakewood Brewing Co. beer.
Guns & Hoses had worked previously with the brewer on various charity efforts, but this is a first-of-its-kind effort between a charity and brewer on a long-term product.
The beer can’s colors are red, white and blue – red stripe on top, white for main part of the can and a blue rim on the bottom with the Lakewood logo. The logo for the brew features police and fire equipment on a red shield.
