N. Richland Hills PD investigating attempted child abduction

Police are investigating an attempted child abduction that happened Monday in North Richland Hills.

A 13-year-old boy was riding his bike near Amundsen Road and Main Street around 9 p.m. when the driver of a truck pulled up behind him and got out.

The driver grabbed the boy’s shoulders, but the boy managed to get free and quickly rode his bike home. 

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man with short black hair and a goatee. He is between 40 and 50 years old and is about 5-foot-8 with an average build.

He was wearing a stained white T-shirt, jeans and brown lace-up work boots.

The suspect’s truck is described as a 2000s model dark green Toyota Tundra. It’s a two-door extended cab with a black utility rack in the truck bed.
