Man visiting sister in Rowlett is 13th tornado victim

ROWLETT, Texas - A 13th person has died from injuries related to the North Texas tornado outbreak on the day after Christmas.
The medical examiner confirmed 73-year-old Trevor Heslop died last week from blunt force trauma.
Two men who helped him on the night of the storm were honored by the Rowlett City Council Tuesday night.
Sammy Walker and Bruce Hargrave pulled Heslop from the debris and drove him to the hospital.
“Honest to God we were just two people in a group of people that were all doing the same thing and that was trying to save another citizen’s life. And I would do it over and over again, not only for them but for anybody in this room,” Hargrave said.
Heslop was visiting family over the holidays and was staying at his sister’s house when the tornado hit.
He is the first victim in Rowlett.
