A pawn shop employee shot a man Wednesday morning outside the store in Dallas.

It happened around 9 a.m. at the P&J Pawn Shop in the 4500 block of Columbia Avenue.

Police are still trying to figure out what led to the shooting, but they believe there was some sort of dispute between the two men about an electrical panel on the side of the building.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to his chest. Police believe he may be homeless.

Responding officers questioned the pawn shop employee at the site. It is not yet clear if he will face any charges.
