The man who was shot while trying to break up a fight outside AT&T Stadium after Sunday’s Cowboys game has died.

Family members removed 43-year-old Rick Sells from life support Wednesday afternoon. He wanted his organs donated and some have already been sent to transplant patients.

Police said Sells tried to break up a fight between two men in the parking lot. He was knocked to the ground and then shot once in the neck by 28-year-old Marvin Rodriguez.

Officers arrested Rodriguez as he tried to leave. The aggravated assault charges against him could be upgraded now that Sells has died.

Sells was reportedly expecting his first child with his new fiancé.
