Man posing as officer sexually assaulted woman, cops say

DALLAS - Dallas police say a man who sexually assaulted a woman last week told her that he was a police officer.

Officers said Cesar Gonzalez was in the Pleasant Grove area when he offered the woman a ride early Saturday morning.

After the woman tried to get out of his car, police said he sexually assaulted her.

Police tracked Gonzalez down using the license plate number the woman was able to memorize after being dropped off.

Gonzalez has been charged with sexual assault.
