Lightning likely sparked Seagoville house fire

A house fire in eastern Dallas County was apparently started by a lightning strike.

It happened just before 5 a.m. Tuesday as storms were passing over Briarbrook Drive in Seagoville.

The family inside said they heard lightning and shortly afterward saw flames.

They were able to get out safely and no one was hurt.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to just roof damage.
