At least six injured after gunfire breaks out at South Dallas gathering

Multiple people were injured early Sunday in a shooting following a large gathering in South Dallas, according to police.

What we know:

Dallas police said the incident happened around 3:20 a.m. on South Barry Avenue near Ware Street. Investigators believe the driver of a vehicle and someone in the crowd exchanged gunfire before the vehicle crashed into a light pole as the driver tried to leave the scene.

At least six people were injured in the shooting. The ages of the victims and the severity of their conditions were not immediately available.

What we don't know:

Authorities have not released details regarding what led to the gunfire, nor have they announced any suspects or arrests.
