Industrial fire burns at Johnson County drilling fluid company

A large industrial fire near the town of Grandview midday Tuesday sent thick clouds of black smoke into the sky.
The emergency management office said the facility that caught fire was a drilling fluid company.
Smoke could be seen for miles in that area of Johnson County, just west of I-35W.
There were no reports of injuries and no reports of evacuations.
