Ikea could open second store in North Texas
DALLAS - That quirky Swedish furniture store Ikea could be popping up in another part of North Texas.
The company submitted plans to the city of Grand Prairie to open a store off Interstate 20 near State Highway 161.
If approved, the store will likely open in the fall of 2017 and will employ 300 people.
Ikea opened its first store in Frisco 10 years ago.
