Huge light display opens gates in Grand Prairie

One of the more dazzling North Texas holiday traditions officially opened Thursday. It’s the Prairie Lights holiday light park in Grand Prairie.

The display opened its gates at 6 p.m. Thursday and it was packed. More than 650 Christmas light displays line the park’s main drag. There’s also a place to stop, have a snack and walk through another display.

Admission rangers from $25 a car on non-peak days - Monday through Thursday. It’ll cost $35 a car on weekends and holidays.

According to the city, that money goes to pays for the display.
