Fort Worth church sets up Christmas lights with a mission

For seven years, Pastor Eddie Worthy and the members of Olive Place Baptist Church in West Fort Worth have put on a Christmas light show that is synchronized to music.

The congregation recently dealt with some sad news in their church family, but the pastor decided it would help uplift their community.

“When the lights come on, I'm just trying to extend a little bit of hope for people to realize that light lights up the darkness in your life,” Worthy said. “I know I’m a preacher and I kind of put that spin to it, but that's what it is.”

The lights come on from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. every night. You can tune your radio to 92.7 FM to get the full effect.
