Former Cowboys player C.J. Spillman arrested for sex assault

Former Dallas Cowboys player C.J. Spillman has been officially charged following a lengthy sexual assault investigation.
Spillman was booked into the Tarrant County jail Wednesday morning and then released on a $15,000 bond.
Grapevine police said the alleged assault happened on September 20 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center.
The team stayed at the hotel before a game against the St. Louis Rams. Spillman played in that game.
The 28-year-old special teams player remained active despite the investigation.
He is now a free agent.
