Early morning shooting in Oak Cliff sends man to hospital
A man is in the hospital after an early morning shooting in Central Oak Cliff on Wednesday.
According to police, officers responded to reports of a shooting at the 1100 block of W. Kiest Blvd. just after 3 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Upon arrival, they found a man inside a 7-Eleven store with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Methodist Hospital.
The victim's condition was not known as of Wednesday afternoon, but police said he was “seriously injured” when they found him.
Cops said the man was shot and then stumbled into the store, where the clerk helped him and called 911. Police don’t know where the shooting occurred. They were looking around the area after the shooting, trying to find a potential crime scene.
Police did not have any suspects as of Wednesday morning.
