Drying Out in North Texas

Image 1 of 2

A cold front moved through the area earlier today, with drier air behind it now moving into North Texas. The last of the showers have pushed east of Dallas and Fort Worth. A ridge of high pressure moves in for Sunday. Expect partly to mostly sunny skies and high temperatures close to 80 degrees. Cannot rule out a shower or storm east of DFW with daytime heating, where some moisture will still hang around.

Heading through next week, the overall weather pattern will be much drier. Only isolated "popcorn" storms are possible to start the work week. High temperatures begin the climb to the upper 80s by mid-week and stay there into next weekend.
