Dallas police looking into possible serial rape suspect

Dallas police are looking for a man who could be connected to two sex assaults within the past month.

Police say a sexual assault that happened on Tuesday is very similar to one from a few weeks ago.

The most recent assault happened on Tuesday around 1:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of Kendale Drive. Police say a 23-year-old said she was raped by a man described as a heavyset Latin male with dark spiky hair and had tattoos on his forearms and left hand.

Police say the man with a weapon approached the woman and her children as she was opening her house’s door. He forced them inside and raped her.

During the assault, a neighbor knocked on the door asking for the woman. The man said the woman was not home. The man then ran away from the home and was observed by the neighbor leaving with items he stole.

The man was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with white lettering that said ‘Thug Life’ and spoke both English and Spanish.

Police say the assault is possibly related to another sexual assault that happened on June 26 at an apartment in the 8600 block of Lazy Acres since they both had the same suspect description.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Dallas police.
