Dallas man killed in home invasion
DALLAS - Dallas police are investigating a home invasion that left a man dead.
He was shot around 3:30 p.m. at a home near Illinois Avenue and Corinth Street in East Oak Cliff.
A woman who was also injured told police the suspect was a man who had come to the house earlier in the day. She said there was a disturbance, but he left.
He later returned with a gun and forced his way into the home. He robbed and assaulted them, the woman said.
Paramedics treated the woman at the scene. The male victim, identified as 44-year-old Cecil Williams, Jr., was rushed to Methodist Hospital where he later died.
Police are still looking for the suspect.
