Dallas County announces first West Nile Virus death of 2018
Dallas County reported its first West Nile Virus death of 2018 on Tuesday.
Health officials say the patient was infected with the more serious neuroinvasive form of the disease.
The patient's zip code was 75229, which is in Northwest Dallas just south of 635. No other details about the victim were released.
Dallas has not announced any immediate plans for mosquito spraying in that neighborhood.
