Broken water main leads to slushy Fort Worth intersection
FORT WORTH, Texas - The cold weather coupled with a water main break left a Fort Worth intersection covered in slush Friday morning.
The 10-inch water main broke around 1:30 a.m. It flooded the intersection of E. Lancaster Avenue at South Rand Street near Oakland Boulevard on the city’s east side.
A dozen businesses were impacted by the broken line.
City crews sanded the areas leaving behind some slush. The road remains open.
It will take a while for workers to repair the broken line.
