Board seems to support Hinojosa staying supt.

It appears the Dallas ISD school board is in support of making Dr. Mike Hinojosa the permanent superintendent for the second time around.

On Thursday, the board discussed the search process for the first time.

Most board members expressed support for Dr. Hinojosa.

The interim superintendent is not waiting around to get the permanent title to start taking action.

Thursday, he announced that he's hired a new chief of staff, and he says he's streamlining the leadership structure after hearing complaints that there were too many chiefs over some schools.

The board could call a special meeting to name him the lone finalist as early as Tuesday.
