Bank inside Mesquite Kroger robbed Wednesday

A bank inside a Kroger grocery store in Mesquite was robbed Wednesday morning.

Police said a man robbed the First Convenience Bank inside the Kroger in the 3600 block of Gus Thomasson Road around 10:15 a.m. Wednesday. The man handed the clerk a note that demanded money and indicated he had a gun. The clerk handed man money and the man then left the store.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s to early 30s, between 5-feet-8-inches to 5-feet-10 inches tall with a short beard. He wore glasses, a camo gap with an orange logo, a white T-shirt and an ace bandage on his arm. Police think the bandage may have covered a tattoo or an injury.

Mesquite Police are asking with information on the suspect or the robbery to call them (972) 285-6336 or call Crime Stoppers at (214) 373-TIPS. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment of the suspect.
