ATM thieves smash through Dallas 7-Eleven
Masked men drove into a Dallas convenience store early Monday morning. They took the ATM before the clerk even had time to react.
It happened around 4:30 a.m. at the 7-Eleven store in the 5700 block of Skillman Street.
The clerk told police the men rammed a pickup through the front window. They grabbed the ATM in less than 25 seconds and then drove away.
They left police a trail of breadcrumbs. Apparently the truck was stolen from someone in construction and the bed was loaded with rocks that slowly spilled out.
But, the truck was abandoned when officers found it a few miles away.
Police are still looking for the suspects.
They did get away with some of the money, police said.
