American Sniper trial canceled Monday

The weather forced the Erath County courthouse to close and the American Sniper murder trial was canceled Monday.

On Friday, prosecutors presented more witnesses trying to refute a defense claim that Eddie Ray Routh was insane at the time that he killed Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield.

A psychiatrist said Routh told him he thought about shooting the two while they were driving to the gun range, but feared he would injured in a crash.

The trial will resume Tuesday at 10 a.m.
