"Adventure Doggy Bus" in The Colony vandalized

THE COLONY, Texas - A business owner in The Colony is seeking help to catch the vandal who trashed his business' "Adventure Doggy Bus."

What we know:

My Neighbors Dog Co., a business in The Colony, found its "Adventure Doggy Bus" vandalized twice last weekend. Denzel Andrew, the business' owner, keeps the bus at a neighborhood park.

On Saturday morning, Andrew says police informed him the bus was trashed overnight. Before he could get it towed away, a vandal hit the bus again. 

When Andrew went to clean up the damage on Saturday night, he found every door, window and mirror smashed.

Andrew purchased the old Frisco ISD school bus and converted it into the "Adventure Doggy Bus," which he uses for My Neighbors Dog Co. for transporting dogs to training lessons he calls "enrichment sessions."

What we don't know:

Detectives do not currently have any leads since there were no cameras in the area where the bus was parked.

What they're saying:

"To smash up a dog bus that isn't bothering anybody," Andrew told FOX 4's Alex Boyer. "To see that broken, that's what broke me."

Andrew says the business is his happy place.

"I got about 30 feet away from the bus, and they pretty much had to pick me off the ground," Andrew said. "I put in so much work on it. People count dollars, but it's nothing like the sweat equity I put in on that bus."

He hopes the vandal is caught, but for now, he's trying to focus on the positive of his community helping him.

"This is a story of a community banning together against evil," Andrew said. "It's not about what happened, but it's about how you react to it that matters."

A GoFundMe was created to help Andrew cover the additional repair costs that his insurance wouldn't and has already raised over $18,000.

The Colony Police Department is asking anyone with information on the incident to contact them.
