Five teenagers are accused of robbing two businesses in the Fort Worth suburb of Haltom City. A clerk was shot during one of the robberies.

The suspects include 17-year-olds Bryan Rodriguez, Francisco Moreno, Edgar Meza and German Navarrete, as well as 18-year-old Martin Chazarreta. They all face aggravated robbery charges.

Haltom City police said the first robbery happened Thursday afternoon at a store on Denton Highway. The clerk tried to stop his attacker and was shot in the stomach. He is now recovering.

Then later in the day witnesses saw a group of teens leaving a convenience store on Carson Street after a robbery. Officers chased their white car and ended up capturing Rodriguez after it wrecked out.

The other teens ran away but police said they were able to gather enough information about them to make arrests over the weekend.

Moreno, Meza, Navarrete and Chazarreta each face charge additional charges including a charge for engaging in organized criminal activity.
