2-year-old dies from accidental shooting

SCURRY, Texas - A 2-year-old boy in Kaufman County died Monday after accidentally shooting himself, the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office said.

It happened around 10 a.m. in the 9500 block of Timber Train in Scurry. Paramedics rushed the child to the hospital but he did not survive.

The sheriff’s department said it is still investigating what happened.
