14-year-old stabbed by group of teens in Fort Worth neighborhood

A 14-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times by three other teenagers while walking through a Fort Worth neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

What we know:

Fort Worth police responded to a stabbing call in the 600 block of Hidden Dale Drive just after 3:30 p.m. Investigators said the 14-year-old was walking home when he was attacked by three teens.

The suspects reportedly stabbed the boy in the stomach, lower abdomen, and arms. He was transported to a local hospital and remains in stable condition.

Detectives are looking for three suspects related to the stabbing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Fort Worth Police Department.

What they're saying:

James Thomas lives nearby where the stabbing happened and talked to FOX 4's Peyton Yager about the incident.

"When did this happen?" Thomas said. "We haven’t had anything in this neighborhood since I’ve been here."

Thomas says he didn't hear any police outside his home on Thursday, but saw them on his cameras when he checked later.

He says kids walk home often through the neighborhood.

What we don't know:

The victim’s identity has not been released because he is a minor. It remains unclear who the suspects are or what motivated the attack.
