Beloved morning radio personality Kidd Kraddick is gone but his dream to help children lives on. Today is a big day for the charity he founded – Kidd’s Kids.

The Kidd Kraddick in the Morning Show kicked off its annual campaign to send children – many of them with life-threatening illnesses – on the trip of a lifetime.

Kidd’s Kids was created by Kraddick before he passed away in 2013. Last year, his team raised enough money to send 50 children and their families to Disney World.

FOX 4’s Shannon Murray spent time with the Kidd Kraddick in the Morning Show crew at their studio in Las Colinas.

“Every year is a new experience. Every single family takes with them memories of Disney and the magic of Disney World every single year,” said Big Al Mack.

“That’s what’s so cool about this. When you donate money, you get to see where your money goes almost immediately,” Jenna Owens added. “You actually see where these dollars you’re giving us today are going because we’re there with our crew documenting everything all along the way. It’s really special.”

“We’ve had kids speak for the first time on this trip, smile for the first time in a long time on this trip. It changes everything for families once they get back home,” J-Si Chavez said.

One of the easiest ways to help donate to the Kidd’s Kids trip is to text KIDD to 52000 to donate $10.
