Storms Still Linger!
Still some fireworks leftover!
Scattered AM storms will dry up this afternoon and allow us to heat well into the 90s. Throw in muggy air...and we have another potential for the Heat Index to hit 105 (so another Heat Advisory is in effect). We will have a gusty south wind to keep the air mixed though.
Storms may again fire this evening west of FTW, so we'll have to watch.
High pressure will slowly take over this week, so rain chances should die off as highs rise to near 100. We may stay JUST below thanks to the recent rainfall.
By the weekend, the high will weaken enough to allow a few storms to develop during peak heating hours (2-8pm) and temps to stay just under triple digits.
