Late Week Storms Lurk

Noisy end to the week...but we aren't there yet!

Very warm and MUGGY conditions again today with gusty south winds. Outside of a brief pocket of drizzle or shower this AM, should be quiet until later PM when an isolated storm (20%) could pop in the heat and humidity as we approach 90 degrees.

The first disturbance heads in Thu AM-Midday with showers and some storms developing. Don't look too rough although any could contain heavy rain. Assuming that disturbance behaves as planned, things could quiet down during the late afternoon-eve hours.

New storms will develop overnight Thu and into Friday. Those have strong dynamics and could produce flooding rain, as well as severe wind, hail or isolated tornadoes.

That threat should exit in time for the weekend. Saturday should be storm free and very warm, but Sunday could see a stray storm or two during the afternoon.

At this time, Memorial Day may see a higher coverage of showers/storms (40%) as a disturbance heads into very humid air.
