Dallas Weather: Heavy rain in the forecast for North Texas
DALLAS - The cool and cloudy skies in North Texas will eventually turn rainy, especially later in the week.
Dallas-Fort Worth Weather Forecast
Tuesday

According to the FOX 4 Weather team, Tuesday will be cloudy with isolated showers and highs in the upper 50s.
Tuesday is still mostly dry with the chance for showers increasing to about 30% overnight into Wednesday.
Wednesday

Rain chances ramp up on Wednesday.
The skies will certainly be cloudy throughout the day with a 70% chance of showers and storms. Nothing looks severe, though.
Temperatures will once again approach 60.
Then, the showers will turn into heavy downpours Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
The coverage will be high. Rainfall totals could exceed 1 inch in many areas and may be as high as 2-3 inches in parts of North Texas.

Again, the storms aren’t expected to be severe. But some small hail and wind gusts up to about 40 miles per hour are not out of the question, especially south of the metroplex.
Thursday & Friday
The storms continue Thursday morning but should move east of the metroplex by Thursday afternoon.
Highs will be in the mid-60s on Thursday and Friday, even after the storms clear out.
Friday finishes with sun and much drier air.
Weekend
It will be sunny, windy, and warmer this weekend as February begins.
Highs could be in the 70s by early next week.
7-Day Forecast

Goodbye Winter. Hello Spring!
North Texas is getting a little taste of spring this week and next week.
While there’s no winter air in the forecast for the first week of February, don’t be fooled. Winter is not over yet.
Overall patterns suggest that the cooler air will return later this month.
But with a very strong west-to-east jet stream across the nation, it’s safe to say the odds of anything truly cold coming down are minimal.
