A stormy weekend ahead for North Texas!

Saturday morning and early afternoon should be dry, but after 2 p.m. we should see a plume of showers from the south extending into portions of the Metroplex. Coverage will be about 30% and there is a chance some of the storms could be strong, especially west. Highs today will be in the upper 80s and low 90s, but it will feel like mid 90s thanks to ample moisture.

Tonight, a cold front approaches from the west and gives us a 70% chance of rain early in the morning and decreases to 50% by the afternoon. Cloud cover will persist all day but temps will only get into the low 80s.

We keep the rain chances around for the beginning of the workweek, but temps will only top out in the high 70s. We'll dry out Tuesday afternoon and temps will remain in the low to mid 80s for the rest of the week.
