Texas Rangers to install new left field video board for 2016

The Texas Rangers will have a new HD video board at Globe Life Park installed in time for the 2016 season.
The LED video display will be 34 feet high and 64 feet wide and will be placed over the left field office building. Currently there are large advertising boards, which will be torn out.
The Rangers said the video board will have a higher level of brightness so it can be seen with direct sunlight hitting the board.
“The addition of this video board will add to the in-stadium experience and create a unique atmosphere that you cannot get at home,” said Chuck Morgan, who is the longtime PA announcer and is also in charge of in-game entertainment.
The Rangers will also get new foul poles installed at the ballpark. It’s just the second set of foul poles in the team’s history. When the Rangers moved from Arlington Stadium to The Ballpark in Arlington they took the foul poles with them.
The team said the new poles will be the same height but double the width.
Fans can purchase pieces of the original foul poles at Rangers Fan Fest on Jan. 23 at Globe Life Park. The one-foot sections will be sold for $100 apiece, with sales benefiting the Texas Rangers Foundation.
