DALLAS - After being snubbed initially, Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving has been added to the 2025 All-Star team.
Irving was selected by NBA commissioner Adam Silver to replace his teammate, Anthony Davis, who is out with a strained left adductor.

This is Irving's ninth time to be named to an All-Star team.
Irving is expected to play for Team Shaq with LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant.

So far this season, Irving is averaging 24.1 points, 4.8 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game.
Irving is shooting 47.5% from the floor and 40.7% from three.
Anthony Davis Injury
Irving will take the place of the injured Anthony Davis.
ESPN's Shams Charania reports that Davis is expected to miss multiple weeks with a left adductor strain.
At this point, we don't know when exactly Davis will return.
Charania says the absence could be as long as a month.
NBA All-Star Game 2025
This year's NBA All-Star Game will be played on Feb. 16, 2025 at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
