Workers rescue kittens from Denton County storm drain

DENTON, Texas - A momma cat and her five kittens are safe after spending a week in a storm drain.

The Double Oak Veterinary Medical Center in Denton County said kittens had been trapped since July 30.

Employees from a water supply company heard them meowing nearby and found them in the storm drain.

Several emergency and utility agencies worked for a week and finally got them all out Tuesday afternoon.

Mom was found in a nearby parking lot.
