Woman receives flowers and beautiful birthday letter from deceased father
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Bailey Sellers’ father, Michael William Sellers, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer 2 weeks after Christmas in 2012. Before he passed away 6 months later, he made sure Bailey received something special on her birthdays. He prepaid for a bouquet of purple flowers to be delivered every year until her 21st birthday, as reported by The Independent.
This year, Bailey’s birthday was especially bittersweet. It was her 21st birthday, and the last time she would be hearing from her dad. Not only did he arrange for flowers, he wrote Bailey beautiful notes to go along with them.
His final card read:
“This is my last love letter to you until we meet again. I do not want you to shed another tear for me my baby girl for I am in a better place. You are and will always be the most precious jewel I was given. It is your 21st birthday and I want you to always respect your momma and stay true to yourself. Be happy and live life to the fullest. I will still be with you through every milestone, just look around and there I will be. I love you Boo Boo and Happy Birthday!!!! Daddy”
It’s a reminder that although our time on Earth is limited, our love endures forever. Watch the video to see the incredibly thoughtful card.
