An engaged couple was worried about rain dampening their special day, but that was before an EF-0 tornado nearly destroyed their wedding venue.

Severe weather blew through the city of Celina on Friday, just as a wedding party was leaving rehearsal at the Venue at Waterstone. A short time later, the owner says, the wind started circulating, then he saw the tornado form.

"That's when we watched it just go through the barn and start peeling stuff off. Lifting it a thousand feet in the air I guess. It was just gigantic," said Lyle Wise.

Wise says people pitched in Friday night and Saturday to help clean up.

The wedding went on as planned Saturday afternoon.
