Traffic stop leads to burglary ring bust

Carrollton police arrested two women they say are responsible for as many as 50 car burglaries in Carrollton, Lewisville and Flower Mound.

Police arrested 25-year-old Skylar Lampton and 33-year-old Erica Jo Johnson on a traffic stop early Friday morning.

Police say they found drugs, bolt cutters and more.

Police filled three pick-ups with stolen items that were stashed in a duplex in the 2600 block of Via Cordova Street near the Willowgate Lane neighborhood, which police say the pair frequently targeted. 

Police say the pair usually entered unlocked cars.
