Police have arrested a third person for the murder of Garland store clerk over the weekend.

Tristan Rashad Bowles was arrested Thursday and charged with capital murder. Police say he drove the getaway car after two other suspects, Chavez Nash, 19, and Darrell Nash, 23, shot and killed Manish Panday during an armed robbery Sunday night.

Police say Panday tried to put up a fight when the two Dallas cousins robbed the Exxon gas station on the corner of Broadway Boulevard and East Oates Road. During the struggle, Darrell is the one who fatally shot the store clerk but was also shot in the leg, according to an arrest affidavit.

Both Chavez and Darrell were arrested Monday after surveillance video was released that led to several tips.

All three suspects are facing capital murder charges.

Police believe they may be responsible for at least four other armed robberies in the area.

Panday leaves behind a pregnant wife. Dozens of people gathered Wednesday night for a vigil to remember the friendly neighborhood store clerk.
