There's a 24-karat gold doughnut in Los Angeles that costs $100
LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - If you're feeling fancy, there's a restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles where you can buy a 24-karat gold doughnut for a mere $100.
Chef Jason Harley of Birdies LA says the luxurious treat is dipped in a cream cheese champagne glaze and coated in delicate flakes of 24-karat gold leaf.
In other words, it's the fanciest doughnut ever.
"We just wanted to give something a little bit different for the people to try," Harley said Monday on Good Day LA.
If spending $100 on a doughnut isn't enough, you can get the "deal" of $1,000 for a dozen.
Birdies LA serves up free-range fried chicken, coffee and artisanal doughnuts and is located at 314 West Olympic Boulevard Los Angeles.
