Suspect sought in N. TX sex assault

Police in Dalworthington Gardens are looking for a man who forced his way into a hair salon and sexually assaulted a woman.

The attack happened Tuesday afternoon.

The salon is new, and the employee was inside by herself when she heard a knock on the door.

Police say a man forced his way in, assaulted her and robbed her of her iPad and iPhone.

A bakery down the street captured surveillance video of the suspect's Jeep taking off from the salon a little after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police are hoping that someone will recognize the silver or light-colored Jeep and know who the suspect is.

After the attack, the woman ran to a neighboring business, where several employees helped her call 911.

“We all ran out,” said Nathalie Manduhano, who saw the victim. “She was yelling and screaming, she kept grabbing her lip. She was yelling out the numbers of the license plate. We yelled back to call 911 and we all ran after her. She grabbed her arm and I let her write the driver’s license on my arm. When we saw him coming out, he was already running out when we got to the corner with her. She just kept saying, ‘He attacked me! He hit me! He hit me! He took all my money!’”

The women say police later told them that the license plate belonged to a different car, so the suspect had switched the plates before the attack.

Police are looking for a silver or light color older model Jeep with large black tires and a push bar or winch on the front bumper.

Police say the woman described the suspect as a light-skinned black or Hispanic man with tattoos on his neck, chest, stomach and arm.

He also had a tattoo under his eye that looked like either a teardrop or Monopoly moneybag.

The woman said she did not know who the attacker was.
