Suspect shot when Dallas police tried to serve warrant

DALLAS - A suspect was injured in an officer-involved shooting in Dallas Thursday night.

The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. near Overlake and Clydedale drives, just north of Bachman Lake near the airport.

Dallas SWAT officers were trying to serve a narcotics warrant when shots were fired. An officer shot 22-year-old Dominique Holligan, who was then taken to Parkland Hospital in critical condition.

Police said Holligan will be charged with aggravated assault on a public servant and drug violations.

No officers were hurt.
