Suspect shot dead by Kaufman Sheriff's deputies after stabbing three people

Three people were hospitalized after being stabbed early Monday and the man who did it is dead after a Kaufman County Sheriff's Deputy shot him.

The incident happened shortly after midnight on Monday near the town of Rosser, southwest of Kaufman.

Kaufman County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the 12000 block of State Highway 34. The sheriff's department says deputies confronted a knife-wielding man who stabbed the three victims. The deputies opened fire and killed the armed man.

Two of the three stabbing victims were taken by Careflight to a Dallas-area hospital.

Neither the names of the victims nor the suspect that was shot and killed have yet been released.

Texas Rangers are investigating the officer involved shooting in Kaufman County. Deputies are still trying to determine exactly what caused the domestic violence call and the stabbings.
