Suspect arrested for deadly shooting in The Colony

Police have arrested the man who they believe is responsible for a deadly shooting in The Colony.

It happened Saturday evening outside home in the 4200 block of Kisor Drive. Police said there was argument between 48-year-old Darren Scott Jagours and a group of people in a red SUV.

Jagours allegedly opened fire on the group. They ran back to the SUV and 31-year-old Damian Rosales was struck in the head while sitting in the front passenger seat.

Responding officers found Jagours inside the home suffering from a broken knee and sent him to the hospital. After reviewing surveillance video of the murder he was charged with murder.

The suspect at the hospital while he waits for surgery, but he is under 24-hour guard, police said.

Police think alcohol was involved in the initial argument. They are not releasing details about Jagours location because they fear retaliation from the victims.

The Colony Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jay Goodson said calls like these make both officers and neighbors anxious, now more than ever.

“When you hear shots fired calls to 911, obviously it's an extremely volatile emotional situation and with everything else that's going on in America right now with the police deaths and increase in shootings. Everybody's a little on edge,” he said.

Police are investigating a deadly shooting in The Colony. Investigators have taken a person of interest into custody for questioning.

The incident happened on the 5200 block of Kisor Drive. Police say the suspect and the victim knew one another.

Police also think alcohol was involved. The two groups were arguing, then the disagreement turned deadly.

Police have not confirmed if their person if interest is the suspected shooter.
