Strong storms Sunday afternoon brought damage to area homes and major outages for North Texas.

The main threat from the storms were heavy rain and high winds.

Oncor is reporting more than 300,000 customers affected by power outages.

The storms also impacted the 911 call center for Dallas, but it’s back up.

There were several downed trees that caused the outages and blocked some roadways.

The weather also delayed or canceled a number of flights in DFW Aiport and Dallas Love Field. Love Field experienced a power outage in the terminal and some off-site buildings.

The high winds caused a metal billboard to blow over and fall onto cars in Uptown Dallas. A crane also fell onto an apartment building in Downtown Dallas, killing one person and injuring several others.
