Rockwall teen shot while walking home

ROCKWALL, Texas - Police in Rockwall are looking for the person who shot a teenage boy Sunday evening.

The 17-year-old victim attends Rockwall Health High School. He was allegedly walking home near the Hickory Ridge subdivision pool when he was shot in the lower abdomen.

The boy’s father took him to the ER. He was later flown to Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas and is now listed as stable.

Police have not yet made any arrests, but said they believe the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
