Retailers hold holiday sales in time for Christmas

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Nothing gets you in the spirit of the holidays like a little music of the season, a Santa cap, and a sale, a Labor Day sale that is.

Appliances are priced to move during this holiday weekend with some big ticket items like refrigerators are over $1,000 cheaper. It's welcome news if you're looking to buy.

So did shoppers know they had the discounts this deep?

"I had no idea, we actually need a new fridge, so it might be helpful," said Leticia Oles.

She liked what she saw, $1,000 off the normal price.

Target is another store with sale prices heading into this holiday weekend. The store has a sale on electronics, clothes, and other items too.

It seems like the Christmas season sales come earlier every year, and you might be right.
